Charge Rates

Charge rates can be set at a variety of levels:

  • Client specific
  • Task specific
  • Staff specific

Charges Entry

Create time or expense charges any time, from anywhere using a toolbar icon or keyboard shortcut.

  • When entering time, specify a client, task and work code.
  • Create disbursement charges any time, using a toolbar icon.

The Task Clock enables staff to track the exact amount of time they spend working on tasks using the analogy of a stopwatch. Open any time from anywhere within the application.

  • Track any number of tasks.
  • Stop and start timers. Switch between tasks or run concurrently (eg, law firms).
  • Enter interim notes as work progresses.
  • Create time Charges from the Task Clock with a single click.

Timesheets can be completed in a variety of ways, as best suits the user. For example, the time clock can track all of your client work over the day. Alternatively, you may wish to simply record specific time charges when they are completed.

Charges Review

  • Review charges any time, even after they are billed.
  • Billed charges, and charges dated prior to the “closed off date”, cannot be edited or deleted.
  • The Review Charges screen is a powerful timesheet which displays all charges. It can be filtered by user, charge type (time or disbursements), billed or unbilled (WIP), billable vs. non-billable, client/task/project, charge note text, and a range of dates (today, yesterday, this month, year to date, custom dates, etc.).
  • Double-click on a list item to view/edit the charge details.
  • View summarized statistics for Qty, Dollars, Billable vs. Non Billable, and Totals by User, Client, Project and Task.
  • A Time Journal can be printed displaying the charges currently filtered on the Review Charges screen.
